MapConvert will convert your NCSA map files into Client Side Image map files you can then reference to or paste into your HTML document.
Right.
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
MapConvert will convert a map file that is dropped on it, or will prompt you to choose a file when it is run.
The first question it will ask is for the map name. This will determine the name in the <MAP> tag (<Map name="...">), as well as determining the filename.
Next, it will ask you if you want to specify targets in your map. (this is pretty straightforward)
If you want to specify a target, it will ask you for the name.
It will then convert you map file, and place the converted file on the desktop.
Joys and raptures.
CAVEAT:
NSCA map files reference circles in the following manner:
HTML 3.0 references circles with center co-ordinates and a radius. Which means that the nice circle depicted above will not work in a Client Side Image Map (the radius isn't constant). So, if you are going to insist on using the Circle in an image map, it had better be a perfect circle. Otherwise, use a polygon. They work just as nice.

If your system doesn't like MapConvert, and erases your Hard Drive, it's your problem. If your computer doesn't like MapConvert, and it blows up in your face, it's your problem. In fact if anything happens to you, your computer or your world as a result of using MapConvert, it's your responsibility, and not the responsibility of Jeff Barnum or Upfront Publishing.

MapConvert is released as karmaware. Upon repeated use of this product, you will be forced to do nice things for the sake of doing nice things, which may include, but is not limited to trimming your neighbour's lawn without getting paid for it, smiling at someone who is passing by, or sending the author a copy of Marathon II.
